Can TCT be checked during ovulation?

TCT (triangular test) is a method to detect whether pregnancy is normal. It determines pregnancy by testing the levels of chorionic gonadotropin in a woman's body. However, during the female reproductive cycle, chorionic gonadotropin levels are affected by many factors, including ovulation. Therefore, performing TCT examination during this period may affect the accuracy of the results.

Therefore, for women who want to determine whether they are pregnant, it is recommended to wait until after their menstrual cycle before performing a TCT test. Generally speaking, a woman’s menstrual cycle lasts 28 days. Between the 14th and 20th day of the menstrual cycle, a woman’s chorionic gonadotropin levels will reach their highest value and then gradually decrease. Therefore, a TCT test may be more accurate during this time.

In addition to waiting for a woman's menstrual cycle, there are other ways to determine if she is pregnant. If the female has already mated and is not pregnant yet, she can wait 7 to 10 days before taking a TCT examination. If a woman is already pregnant, she can wait 3 months before taking a TCT test.
